Birth is my bliss and I desire nothing more than to share whatever strengths, knowledge and passion I have in order to help mamas make their birth experience as empowering and insightful as it can be.
It is my desire to empower as many women and their families as I can by getting them involved in the birth process and seeing it for the righteous experience that it is.
Services
My background includes working as a Registered Nurse, Certified Birth Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor. I am currently certified in CPR (for healthcare professionals) and first aid through the American Heart Association.
For a flat fee of $600.00 I offer a package that includes the following:
- Initial consultation/interview.
- Use of pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding related books in my lending library.
- Telephone support to answer any questions or concerns you might have regarding your pregnancy and upcoming birth.
- One to two prenatal meetings: I would like to get together with you and your partner at least once before the birth of your baby in order to get to know each other better, to discuss your preferences and to learn how I can better assist you in labor.
- Twenty four hour on-call availability for your birth. I will be on-call and available for you from three weeks before your estimated due date until two weeks after. If your birth occurs outside of those parameters, I will of course, do my best to attend.
- Telephone support during the early phase of labor.
- In-person, continuous labor support either at home, birth center or the hospital once you are in active labor and requiring assistance, until after the birth of your baby. This care includes emotional, physical and informational support; guiding you and your partner through labor, suggesting comfort measures and position changes to help labor progress and enable you to remain open to the process.
- Initial breastfeeding support within the first few hours after the birth.
- Telephone availability for newborn, breastfeeding, postpartum questions when required.
- Postpartum meeting at a time that is convenient to you.
Additional Services
- Certified lactation support $25.00/hr for women who need ongoing assistance.
- Placenta Encapsulation $100.00 for clients and $175.00 for non- clients.
